“I don’t focus on the outcome. I focus on the preparation, seeing the ball well and taking a good swing at it.”
Andrew McCutchen

Andrew McCutchen is in his seventh year in the Major Leagues. McCutchen is a four-time All-Star who won the National League’s Most Valuable Player Award in 2013. Andrew McCutchen has been so consistent that he finished third in the N.L. MVP voting in both 2012 and 2014. McCutchen was the Pittsburgh Pirates number one draft pick in the 2005 Draft and he is a three-time Silver Slugger Award Winner.

Andrew McCutchen and the Pittsburgh Pirates are off to a slow start in 2015. Let’s remember that it is a long season and that last year the Pirates were 17-25 and came on strong to make it to the Post-Season. In fact, Andrew McCutchen had led the Pirates to back-to-back post-season appearances. McCutchen always has exuded a “quiet confidence” which I well remember from his days with the Indianapolis Indians. He always was very pleasant and professional. Andrew McCutchen is a terrific ballplayer who is a wonderful role model.
